Median Line Destruction
来自 Tekken Wiki
Median Line Destruction (正中線乱れ突き Seichūsen Midare Zuki, "Midline Disturbance Thrust") is a move used by Jin Kazama since Tekken 5 and in the crossovers Street Fighter X Tekken and Project X Zone. In Street Fighter X Tekken, the command is f, b, f + Punch.
Description
Jin steps forward into a naihanchi dachi, a high stance with feet facing forward, just wider than shoulder width apart (a high horse stance). He delivers three short punches to mid level, then steps forward into front stance to deliver a fourth, more powerful punch with his front hand. The fourth punch knocks the opponent backward, stumbling them.
In Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, the move was reworked into its current iteration. Jin now stands in a short front stance and delivers only two short punches at mid level, before lengthening his stance and performing a jab which now hits high. This jab now hits the opponent back onto the ground.
In Street Fighter X Tekken, Jin performs the Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion version of this move. Depending on the input used, Jin will execute between three and five punches. The EX version of the move hits six times, and causes wall bounce, being a good starter for combos.
In Tekken 8 the move has been reanimated yet again and now sees Jin perform the body blows from a wider stance before throwing a thrusting straight punch at the end with his front hand, causing the opponent to be knocked back much further than the previous incarnation. This serves as one of Jin's Heat Engagers.
Trivia
- In Tekken: Blood Vengeance, Jin uses this move to defeat and seemingly kill Heihachi (although Heihachi is later revealed to still be alive).
- The move was used in Project X Zone as part of his and Ling Xiaoyu's super move, Jab.
- Median Line Destruction's command in Street Fighter X Tekken is identical to the Zanretsuken, an attack used by SNK series Art of Fighting protagonist Ryo Sakazaki. Both attacks are also functionally similar, being a barrage of punches.
- This attack is somewhat similar in concept to the Seichusen Godanzuki performed by Makoto from the Street Fighter series, which is denoted by the name. However this attack throws the opponent backwards rather than upwards.
