Jab Uppercut (レフトストレート~ライトアッパー, Refuto Sutoreeto~Raito Appaa?, "Left Straight ~ Right Upper") is an attack used by the Kings since the first Tekken game. However, in the first game's English version, it was called Left Straight Uppercut.

In Tekken and Tekken 2, the second hit of the Left Straight Uppercut is guaranteed if the first hit is blocked, as the opponent cannot transition from a crouching guard to a standing guard in the short amount of time between hits; the opponent is stuck crouching for 20 frames but the uppercut connects on the 17th frame. However, if the low punch whiffs, the uppercut will also whiff as its hitbox is tiny, only being able to connect if the opponent moves forward. The uppercut's hitbox was made larger in Tekken 2.

From Tekken 3, if the first punch is blocked, the d+1 variation's uppercut uppercut will connect 1 frame later, resulting in the user recovering 1 frame faster.

In Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament, the FC variation's uppercut is still guaranteed from a low block, however the low punches are now special mids and can easily be blocked with a standing guard.
